OCTOBER

Friend to Friend 10K: 5 October 2003
Carlton Reed 47:57 PR
Comments from Carlton: I set a new 10K PR at the Friend to Friend Race in Andover. I ran a 47:57 giving me PR's in my last 2 10K races! At the Run for Life race I plan to beat my old 4 mile PR of 30:32, set just 3 weeks ago at the Somerville Sizzle. Needless to say this is the best stretch of times I've had since I started racing back in October of 2000!

Chicago Marathon: 12 October 2003
Chuck Astor 2:53:06 PR
Comments from Steve Fisher: Congratulations to Strider Chuck Astor who ran Chicago Marathon yesterday in the exceptional time of 2:53:06 - a five minute PR. I've done several of Chuck's long training runs with him, and knew he was in great shape, but I think this exceeded even his best expectations. Now, if I could have as a X-mas present his half marathon split for a half marathon (1:24:21) - heck, even his 15K split (59:56) at next year's Midland.
