This is a cross-country race on grass around the ball fields at Johanson Field in Boonton Township, NJ. This is a no-frills race series (no T-shirt) designed to add fun to summer running and to prepare youth for fall cross-country competitions. All ages can run this race. Race series consists of 4 races on Tuesday nights (dates above). Awards are given out to age groups at each race and series awards are given out at the last race (must participate in 3 of the 4 races to be eligible). Pizza and cold beverages are served after each race. No alcohol is allowed on the park grounds.

2009 - Race #1 recap - The weather seemed to scare some of the runners away. Luckily it stopped raining about 1/2 hour before the race. The course was wet and a bit humid, but otherwise good running weather. Congrats to Diana D'archille from Denville for breaking her own female course record with a time of 19:11.

2009 Race #1 results - June 30th

2009 - Race #2 recap - The weather was good with 108 runners completing the course. Several age group records were broken: F20-34 Ashley Behre 20:00, M25-29 Ben Clarke 16:27, F50-54 Patricia Montana 25:11, M60-64 Roger Price 20:07, and F75+ Patricia Tummey 49:41

2009 Race #2 results - July 13th

2009 - Race #3 recap - Summer finally decided to show up as tempatures peaked at 79 degrees and humid at race time with a 127 runners crossing the finish line. Ben Vanwyk from Morristown won the race with a time of 15:54 (missing the course record by only 5 seconds). 2nd and 3rd for the men were Nick Meeker of Warwick NY and Ben Clarke of Parsippany with times of 16:17 and 16:27. For the women, Chelsea Callan from Hazlet came across with a new female course record time of 18:57 followed by Diana D'achille of Denville and Ashley Behre with times of 19:06 and 19:33.

2009 Race #3 results - July 28th

2009 - Race #4 recap - 164 runners ran in the last race of the series, most ever at the Boonton Location. Race time tempature was 84 degrees and sunny skies. Jeramy Elkaim of Livingston won the race with a time of 16:21 (also setting a new age group record for M15-16). 2nd and 3rd were Ryan Van Alstine of Midland Park and Ben Clarke of Parsippany with times of 16:21 and 16:40. For the Women, Sarah Dalfol of Rockaway was first with a time of 19:49 followed by Lauren Jackson of Hamburg and Corinne Fitzgerald of Rockaway with times of 19:58 and 20:40.

2009 Race Series Recap - Runners must compete in atleast 3 of the 4 races to be eligible. Top 3 men: Ben Clarke of Parsippany with 1497 points, Joe Skarbek of Denville with 1490 points and Mark Sidebottom of Montville with 1486 points.
